The Lovely Bones (2009)
Too different from the book
I just finished reading the book. The book was really something to think about. The movie however was not.
I know it's 'based' on, but for me it was such a big disappointment. Besides the obvious of how she was discovered, a whole lot of things that are different were not in the movie, if felt extremely rushed, Buckley was barely a part of the story and they made mom a lot nicer than in the books. Where's the affair? Seeing that grandma is not as bad. Now it looked like the sister was the obsessed one, while dad was the real obsessed one, with good reason though. The 'inbetween' well let's not go there. Seeing the movie you wouldn't even think she was raped and cut into pieces. When she came back in Ruth's body, she had sex with Ray.. that seemed like quite a big one.. no, I'll stick with the book. It's not that the actors did it so badly, it was all so rushed, you can't really get into it.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Why all the hate for this episode?
I had to give a 10.. I liked the episode, I was afraid of yet another episode were they leave you without an ending, but not this one. This time it was about teenagers.. so what? They live in the future too you know.. it was finally an episode with an ending. The only thing that made me cringe was saying she was her biggest fan when she literally just woke up panicked but that was the only part. Just loved it, a 10 to compensate for all the damn haters.
Bloodshot (2020)
Loved it
Given, the 10 was for compensation. But I did love it, some people want a deep meaningful movie everything. This actually had a decent storyline, and i liked his acting here more . Just a good action movie, if you want a deeper meaning, you shouldn't have hone to this Kockengen the first place.
Arrow: Fadeout (2020)
Loved this show, gonna miss it!
I really loved it, and have been delaying to watch the ending, but it finally happened. I loved how they ended it, it's a big thing, ending a series so good.
The only thing I missed is the thing with John diggle jr. since he had a girl now.. does he adopt him even? And since he remember everything.. how will he react when Mia comes home. But I guess it's a little for the imagination.
So sad, now have to find another show that's worthy of this one.
Joker (2019)
Different than expected
I went in with other jokers in my head, and expected that kind of movie. If you're looking for an action movie, you're in the wrong place here. This is all about performance, I was amazed by the acting. To play such a disturbed man, to make that laugh your own. I was blown away, no pun intended ;)
Riverdale: Chapter Fifty-One: Big Fun (2019)
Just .... up, it's a good episode!
It's a good episode, I don't understand the whining so much.
Il vangelo secondo Matteo (1964)
terrible!
I've tried to agree with the many opinions here. The high rate of the movie. I don't have many movies which irritate me, but this is definitely one of them. I kept in mind it's from 1964. But the movie is very slow, and the actor who plays Jesus annoys me deeply. Even when he says the standard things you hear in all the movies, with him it sounds like arrogance. If you don't follow him, you're not worthy of him? I seriously was in agony while trying to watch this movie and I can't see how this movie has ever scored above a 5.. I probably miss something others do see. I've seen almost every movie about Jesus, this is by far the worst one I've seen. He carries hasn't been beaten once, and he can't carry his cross longer then one step?!
Jesus of Nazareth (1977)
Good movie but..
As the passion of Christ was a bit extreme, where you'd think that in that film they could have take a nudge down.. this film is just the opposite.. It annoyed me deeply that this film was way to brave, the way Jesus gets angry, I was waiting for the temple scene, but even in that scene he couldn't -or maybe wasn't allowed- to get angry. You don't even see him get hit a single time, since that's also a 'big' part of the movie I think they could have done a better job on that part. Jesus suffered for us, but if you see this movie you'd almost start to wonder.. It's not even a problem to let children watch this movie, to learn about Jesus.
