Salman holds the show!!
7 May 2023
The movie is all about Salman Khan! His presence, his aura and there are scenes which will make you whistle.

The action set pieces are good enough but aren't engaging enough. It would have been amazing to see Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Anand and Jassie Gill to fight and have enough action set pieces. I was almost rooting for the brothers when they were fighting.

The emotional bond is just not felt with the characters but you will feel when Venkatesh is on screen, even the Cringy dialogues looks good. Pooja Hedge does her job perfectly and is confident in her role.

Songs are not memorable and choreography is just passable at best. If you are a fan of Salman Khan, it's a one time watch and if not you can miss it.

Strictly a one time watch
10 September 2022
This is one of the most perfect procedural crime drama. As a lawyer I appreciate when a cop shows someone an Arrest warrant or knows that Narco and Lie detector test requires consent or court's order and is still not admissible in the court of law. If someone gets these small details right, I already think highly of the talents involved.

Rajkumaar Raao and Sayna Malhotra are in fine form in this movie. The overall thrill is always maintained, though you keep asking yourself if you know who the killer is and when it's finally revealed you feel like I knew it I knew it. And there lies it's biggest win and losing moment.

Despite the outcome of the first case, makers should really make the second case for the audience that has seen it later on OTT.

Ranbir, Amitabh and Nagarjun holds the film together
10 September 2022
This is a great one time watch for every age group. The VFX, CGI and support cast is the best part about the movie. The songs are grand, great on ears, looks aesthetic and would even want to make you dance. Dance ka Bhoot is the amazing dance number, Kesariya is the love song which is amazingly shot, and Deva Deva is the realisation song about oneness with the divine power. Quite a few parts could be edited out specially the love stories bit such as when Ranbir Kapoor is explaining everything to Ranbir Kapoor or when they are going to celebrate a bday in the orphanage. A more crisply edited movie would have been a bit more engaging but it doesn't take away that the movie is greatly entertaining and the last 40-45 mins of the movie hits it out of the park.

The second half of the movie is definitely at a much faster rate and holds the movie together. Give it a watch, if you have worked hard at a project and still people didn't appreciate it because of what it didn't have rather than what it has, this movie is a reflection of that. Watch it to appreciate a director who atleast tried to have a vision and make a superhero fantasy movie.

This movie isn't without flaws but it will nevertheless keep you glued and the VFX is comparable to Bahubali and RRR. I am taking a leap of faith with Ranbir Kapoor and I hope enough people do, so that people could know that India could make what Marvel makes.

Better than CID
9 September 2022
For Starters, I absolutely love CID. Despite the low on story and thrill cases in the last couple of years before CID went off-air, it is my guilty pleasure. When in 2018, the show went off-air, I was one of the disheartened fans. And randomly one day I discovered this show on Youtube. One of the first thing I notices is that these guys are in uniforms and they have given attention to the dress code. Like Shambu who is a constable is often with a stick unless he is going to arrest someone or in a mission and wears a Black leather belt. The rest of the team frequently reports to the Commissioner of the police, which was a great procedural addition.

They have played well on the nostalgia value by having the cast of CID, so give yourself time before you get adjusted to Purvi being Meenakshi, Daya being Hanuman, Abhijeet being Ali, Fredricks being Shambu and Nikhil being Sushant. The show thrill value is also somewhat better than CID, as most of the investigation happens through discussion and brain storming and DNA Reports and other forensic investigation takes time.

I have seen 5 episodes till now, and I like it better because it shows the cultural diversity, shows more investigation skills rather just slapping someone and everyone has a personal life. Hanuman (Daya from CID) has a daughter, Ali (Abhijeet from CID) has a mother these add arc to the character development.

The production value is ordinary and the cases are also ordinary. If they would have up the thrill game and maybe have a case solved through 2-3 episodes or have an ongoing investigation much like in Castle, it would have been awesome to watch.

Giving it 9 because this again I can always watch while having my dinner.
