Have to admit I had higher hopes for this series, but my only motivation to continue watching after this episode is really to see whether or not they finally decide to blow Michelle out of an airlock just for the fun of it.
Without sensors and with a damaged ship and lost the crew try to backtrack to regain the proper course. Meanwhile the contagion picked up in the previous episode reeks havoc. Back on earth Erik spars with Harper Glass the reporter who really wants to mine him for information. A somewhat humorous game of trivia is the highlight of that exchange. On board the crew come up with an unorthodox method of trying to solve the contagion problem. A curious viewer might do a quick google search to find out how problematic their solution would truly be.
As much as I am trying my hardest to like this series, many of the characters and their attitudes are killing it for me. Crummy writing and weak direction are dooming this series to the dust bin of sci fi. I also feel somewhat upset that this show could have had horror in it's description, but instead chose to bill itself as a drama/sci fi. Well this is most certainly not for the faint of heart & I for one usually opt not to watch things like that.
This episode really deserved a 5, but I gave it an extra for the attempt with the trivia game. More of that please, and much, much less of Michell's foul mouth.
