No cure for cancer

Have to admit I had higher hopes for this series, but my only motivation to continue watching after this episode is really to see whether or not they finally decide to blow Michelle out of an airlock just for the fun of it.

Without sensors and with a damaged ship and lost the crew try to backtrack to regain the proper course. Meanwhile the contagion picked up in the previous episode reeks havoc. Back on earth Erik spars with Harper Glass the reporter who really wants to mine him for information. A somewhat humorous game of trivia is the highlight of that exchange. On board the crew come up with an unorthodox method of trying to solve the contagion problem. A curious viewer might do a quick google search to find out how problematic their solution would truly be.

As much as I am trying my hardest to like this series, many of the characters and their attitudes are killing it for me. Crummy writing and weak direction are dooming this series to the dust bin of sci fi. I also feel somewhat upset that this show could have had horror in it's description, but instead chose to bill itself as a drama/sci fi. Well this is most certainly not for the faint of heart & I for one usually opt not to watch things like that.

This episode really deserved a 5, but I gave it an extra for the attempt with the trivia game. More of that please, and much, much less of Michell's foul mouth.

I don't know what to think?!

Is this the best Sci-Fi show? NO. Now is it the worst? Even though reviewers might not agree with me I don't care because I don't think it's the worst neither. Episode 3 is where I usually start to judge a show. Are there annoying characters? YES! However, one has already died

*mild spoiler* I here the annoying girl is about to die THANK GOODNESS! *mild spoiler*

Overall I would give the show a 6 for right now. It's mediocre it definitely needs work. It needs less annoying characters. It needs a clearer plot lines for the space story. The story on earth is a little bit more interesting right now. Maybe they should bring in a few new writers to stir them in the write direction. Also fix the crew members relationships PLEASE if this show gets a second season, it can still be saved just clean it up a bit.

At the end of this episode it seems something is on board the ship seems interesting. Also I'm guessing they got everything back up for them to go into somatic sleep I confused if it was presented or pass.

Nervous Breakdown
nebohr23 June 2022
We are not really sure just what the science (or reasoning) could be for giving the computer UI (William) the ability to continuously spew deadly gamma radiation. But hey: by now we viewers are either willing to overlook the writers' lack of scientific knowledge or we have given up on this TV series.

Warning: Spoilers
Literally nobody on board is qualified to do anything. There is a "farmer guy" who doesn't sterilize himself when coming from a alien planet. There is a "astrobiology guy" who just injects weird alien stuff into himself. like what are they even thinking

Homage or ripoff?

Warning: Spoilers
The crew is together, laughing and joking with a crewmember who has previously been incapacitated. Sound familiar?

I had just told my wife it reminded me of the chest burster scene from Alien when it almost happened.

I really want to finish this series, but it's hard.

Sill terrible

Episode 3 of this astonishingly bad series.

I am taking each episode in order and reviewing to share my pain. Looking at the credits for the writers and d irectors of this series I think its sheer horribleness is starting to make sense. So far as I can tell they have, none of them, ever worked on anything even a little bit science fiction related.

Netflix really decided it was a good idea to throw money at people not even slightly interested in this genre.

I wish they'd at least thrown money at a science adviser who could have screamed at them for hours and perhaps fixed some of the most glaring of scientific errors.

At least this episode managed slightly less insubordination. How did they manage to make every single character this unlikable?

I'm glad we've got gay characters in sci fi....but....

Being gay myself, makes me glad of gay characters BUT zayn creeps me out big style. Spent two episodes thinking it was a girl. Star Trek discovery has two wonderful gay characters In it that appear utterly professional, unlike this crock. Also I can't wait for the episode where the Michelle woman gets killed as she is so much more loathsome than the rest if that's possible. Why are all of the characters so un likeable?

This one should be called Amateurs in space.

Warning: Spoilers
So we go from a bio hazard, to an alien like episode, to crew melding under extreme conditions. I think these writers are the same as the Crying Burnham show (ST Discovery). Drama is one thing, but this insults all professionals in the Aerospace industry. Sure, we have people that are emotional and will not make the best decision but people like those portrayed in this show would not have made it on the crew of this mission.

The only saving grace is that Katee pulls the show together and stops it from unraveling. The other actors are ok, and may be better than they seem, but the writing S&#ks. The writers all should be fired and replaced with people who know a bit about Aerospace and crews.
