Horrible. Stupid story. Bad direction. There are very great movies out there to see when it comes to breakup. @IMDB why dont you guys have 0 rating button.

Despite the title, this is a short story of a couple breaking up. It is an oddity n how it does it, and the journey the two people go on from first sitting reading prepared letters to one another. Tonally it is interesting but what drives it is that it is convincing in the way that it does feel like a couple who both know it is over. This is not a loud breakup of two teens who are doing it for the thrill of doing it, but rather the couple here do convince that they were together, and that this is just the point where it is clearly at an end. Even David's note of suicide feels like his heart was not really in it any more.

This convincing sense of the tragic helps carry the film through the contrasting feeling of this all being a bit overly-designed and arch in what it is doing. It is a very fine line I thought, but it just about stays on the right side of it thanks to the two performances really capturing that honesty at the core of the film. As such it is engagingly odd, but has that core strength to keep it all together.
