Inanimate Perfection!
amagumo10004 September 2022
This. This right here is how you made a good object show. Not only does it have what, in my opinion is the BEST object show finale for season 1; but it ALSO has:

-A relatable host with flaws but still has his charm throughout all 3 seasons (AKA MePhone 4, my personal favorite character overall)

-A perfect mix of dark lore and humor

-Amazing animation and storytelling that looks like it could be in a movie or a real TV show airing on TV

-Creative episode challenges and conflict

-A colorful cast of characters with their own charm and personality

-Great lore and backstories you wouldn't see in BFDI (a similar show that likes to play it safe)

And many, many more. What else could you wish for in an object show?

Beautiful.

Omg, the animation of this series (after the first season, lol) is absolutely beautiful. Even season three's more simplistic style is very nice (and episodes don't take forever to make anymore). And the jokes of ALL the seasons are really funny.

But I do have to admit, the second half of season two does get a bit too serious for my liking, but the latest season two episode seems to have fixed that issue.

SO GOOD!

This is one of my favourite cartoon shows and i love watching cartoon and adult cartoon shows. Its just about ahead of bdfi for me beside the fact ive been waiting for a new episode forever. Still recommend it tho.

This show also is just so good for a laugh. I've been a fan of this show ever since I started watching it (2018) but it still just brings me so much joy to rewatch episodes especially season one. Inanimate insanity is perfect for viewers who enjoy gameshows , comedies and plot-twists. It is a great show overall the reason i'm not giving it a 10 is I have been waiting for an episode for so long and haven't gotten a new episodes.

This show is so funny!

This is one awesome object show to watch! I just think it's often good to watch a few episodes of Inanimate Insanity. It's quite a funny show to watch, including the parts where the object show characters get eliminated!

You have to rate this show 10 out of 10, because it is the best object show besides Battle for Dream Island (which I think is related to). It is not horrible at all.

Inanimate Insanity is a great show and it's got a great plot behind it. Perfect for all ages. It's full of enjoyable content and jokes. Would definitely recommend this to families

Update: I wrote this a long time ago!! The show is wonderful and has adjusted over time to display beautiful graphics and has an amazingly crafted story filled with lore that you would probably see in a mainstream TV network cartoon.

My favorite object show/web show

Inanimate Insanity is not only one of the few object shows i only watch nowadays but the OG of a serious object show. Well, it wasn't serious until season 2. I love how the animation is improving.

Didn't even finish, but I know its good.
nekoeeko0922 January 2022
When I was younger I skipped out on Season 1 for whatever reason, but the plot is still easy to understand without watching it.

Along with this series being hilarious, it brings a ton of story with it. I never expected this much drama and action to be brought into an object show, since the show that first started it out ( BFDI ) was so happy-go-lucky with its little quirks. And I mean that in a good way, this show is new, fresh, and mysterious. There's so much to learn as you watch it, so much plot.. and you can sympathize with the characters easily.

This series is great for those who like twists and turns, and serious topics along with humor.

Amazing show
diceseidel24 July 2022
I love this show so much honestly. I have looked at a bunch of other object shows, they were all good, but Inanimate Insanity is just different. The voice acting is amazing, the storyline is entertaining and the characters are written so well.

I cant really describe with words how good the show is. I have been obsessed with it ever since I found it a few months ago. Maybe a little bit too obsessed but its a great show.

Season 1 is a bit harder to watch since it was made in the 2010's, but its worth watching it.

Decent
lucasloveswinnie1 June 2024
OK a decent older audience Cartoon for once. I just reviewed Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel (ew, I know) and they are awful. But this is actually pretty decent, I enjoyed this thoroughly, there's not much I don't like the only reason i have given it a 6 is because I prefer other TV shows, but this one is still good definitely top ten TV shows i have ever seen, and I have way more than 10, like times that by five, so fifty, yeah that sounds about right, I think. Overall a pretty compelling, funny, and cool show with a strange but well executed premise. I give Inanimate Insanity a 6.7/10. (This is just filler so I can post this review).

This show is FREAKING incredible!!!

I've watched this for a loooong time.

SPOILERS: I love season 2!!

The character development was amazing to see.

I love the dark tone the series got after episode 11 :) The writing and animation is awesomely beautiful and it's improved ever since season 1.

The eliminations make me cry especially if it's a great character that's developed

Season 1... it's good.

The humour is well done.

I didn't like the writing that much it could've improved.

They were children around this time soo I don't blame them.

Season 3 was beautiful to see.

The animation got even better over time.

So did the quality of course >_<

Now the characters. The characters are AMAZING!!!

Half of the season 2 cast were acceptable enough.

Microphone absolutely no way!!

My favs are fan and test tube I love their friendship and I appreciate them both Candle is my fav season 3 newbie and Bot.

Suitcase having depression issues were soo interesting to see and I love it.

Overall, this series is impeccable and I reckon you watch it if don't Pillow from BFDI will hunt you at night /j.

This show is so good and kinda tearful

Warning: Spoilers
Inanimate Insanity nice... what i mean it's i'm an inanimate insanity and osc fan before i left in 2019 i skipped season one because i don't know.

And season 2 it ended so early because why? Inanimate insanity season 2 ended with no winner? It will be good idea to return to season 2 and continue and instead. It skipped to season 3... i don't know about season 3, new characters on season 3, intro and animation.

Well sadly Inanimate insanity have to remove Ame, Taylor and Loren due to costful drama, i don't know what inanimate insanity is gonna do? Replacing the voice actors?

Still it's a great show but unfortunately i don't watch it anymore because i left osc on 2019 due BFB 13 was extremely delayed.

"Just Because It Was The First Of It's Kind Doesn't Make It Sustainable".
Veltiheng17 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Inanimate Insanity was unique for its time when regarding object shows and how they've initially played out. While Inanimate Insanity may be the first story driven object show to exist this doesn't mean that the show succeeds with it's narrative or has any significant value.

Inanimate Insanity as a series has always struggled to keep itself consistent with its tone and narrative and has tried way too hard to be something that it wasn't initially supposed to be in the first place.

Inanimate Insanity as a series is supposed to be simplistic and engaging - as the first season heavily highlights. While story changes like this CAN be achieved and done well (for example Charlie The Unicorn) Inanimate Insanity especially by its third season fails to properly set up these events and the sudden tone changes that the series currently prospers in. The show feels like it doesn't even know what it initially wants to be - and consistently fights with itself.

Not only is Inanimate Insanity's writing very poorly executed, contrived and is over-clustered but the same can be said about the cast as well. A good majority of the II cast fall into a "boring" sub-genre where they simply don't have enough background to them or have enough sustainability to be memorable or to stand on their own two feet.

It also doesn't help that a good majority of said screen-time for S2 goes to a specific list of characters.

Those characters being Baseball, Suitcase, Nickel, Balloon (Main GrandSlams) Lightbulb, Paintbrush, Fan, Test Tube (Main BrightLights) + Microphone and Marshmallow. (even in earlier episodes as well).

Giving the rest of the cast barely any leg room as they're mostly shoved to the side and never brought up again or are only there (or brought up) to be utilized as a plot device.

Inanimate Insanity's biggest flaw however despite it's inconsistent narrative and clunky execution is how it tries way too hard to be symbolic, tried justifying emotional abuse in its recent season, its recent usage of political arguments(?) and how the shows creator Adam Kats has used the show as a way to justify his prejudice against mental disabilities, neurodivergence, Latinas and Italians.

While also subtly persuading his fanbase to think the same way by sneaking in harmful ideologies aka sly innuendos into II's writing.

While some are harder to catch yet are noticeable at the beginning like Taco (mental illness - BPD) there are ones that're heavily transparent and are hard to ignore like Paper (DID), Tissues (Chronic Disease), Soap (OCD), and Bomb (Tourettes Syndrome) to name a few.

The problem with this necessarily is how they've been portrayed in the show and how it was purposely done in a condescending manner. By making them "sluggish", "obsessive", "dumb" or "annoying" to justify their dehumanizing views against individuals that suffer with mental illness, chronic disease or have a neurological disorder.

OR they completely demonize the disability all-together with Cabby and Taco being huge contributors to said message.

RECAP Inanimate Insanity is a show that was inconsistent and flawed since it's original debut. The show has only gotten worse due to its over-clustered narrative, poorly executed (and harmful) arcs and how the writers of Inanimate Insanity don't even know what to do with the narrative they've placed onto themselves. Inanimate Insanity aged poorly throughout the past couple of years due to its harmful messaging and portrayals of different majorities. Even till this day the show still continues to fail to find its footing and I have very low hopes this show will be salvaged.

Great show, although it has it's flaws.
jamalinoski-634457 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Personally, I really like Inanimate Insanity and it's 3 seasons, although, as I mentioned, it has it's flaws.

Season 1: In the start, Season 1 was very mediocre. With it's simple graphics, almost like a crayon drawing, the show had various flaws.

With episode 1 being the show's start, where the contestants had to jokingly jump off a 60 foot cliff, into clean, sprinkling water, "Cause if you don't, you'll land in elephant feces!". Although the show was really mediocre at the time, being made by a 12 year old, the writing and animation greatly improved during the later episodes, although the animation was still highly mediocre for it's time. Although, in Season 2, the show massively improved.

Season 2: Although being as mediocre as Season 1's end at the start, Season 2 greatly improved in it's following episodes, around episode 5, or so, with it's new animators. And so did the writing, the season was an emotional rollercoaster, in my opinion. You can tell they started putting way more effort into the writing . I will end this short, because I do not know what to put here, so...

Season 3: Although it's still being pumped out, Season 3 improves the animation quite a bit. With it's new contestants, Season 3 has a lot to offer! Although it's writing has less emotional rollercoasters, due to it's happy go lucky charm, most of the time. My fingers are getting tired, so I'm just going to get to the conclusion short.

Conclusion: Although generally being pretty mediocre in Season 1, the animation style improved in season 2, with it's great writing. Starting from Season 3, the writing was less emotional; focusing more on a possible scripted environment. My rating of this show is a 9/10. With it's flaws, that reduces a star.
