Hello Tomorrow! Is a slow-paced drama with little plot advancement and uneven pacing. Shirley is frustrated waiting for an imaginary boss to provide meaning to her job. Lester and Myrtle look like promising adversaries, and Shirley may catch wind of what is going on in Brightside, but it will take a lot of force to overcome Jack's charisma. Episode 3 of In Hello Tomorrow! Starts with Joey upping his game at selling shares over the phone, even surpassing Herb. Myrtle signs up for the quarterly launch, but learns it isn't scheduled for several more months. When she confesses to Herb she has nowhere else to go, he has an unconventional solution for her. Ed visits Herb's place and finds Myrtle in his bed. She claims Herb let her stay and promised her an earlier launch. When she departs, she leaves her scarf behind and Herb's wife Betty picks up on it. Meanwhile, a rocket lifts off to the moon and Jack tells Joey it's likely one of Brightside's own, but something in his eyes betrays the lie. Jack tries to persuade Shirl to innovate for Brightside, but she refuses. He then tries to convince Joey to leave his mom and continue traveling with Brightside. Joey admits he wants to go, but he can't be like his dad, who left Marie and didn't look back. Jack then convinces Joey that he would hate his mother if he never left. Shirley receives a visitor from Lester Costopoulos, who informs her that Brightside must fill out the necessary forms to be able to make certain claims about what they're selling in Vistaville. Herb confesses to Shirl that he feels the need to be number one salesman, but it is difficult to convince Betty that everything is okay. When Jack introduces Joey to his mother, she is upset by his actions and makes sure he knows he'll regret making Joey abandon his mother and not telling him he's his dad. Shirley and Eddie can't wait to get out of Vistaville, but Ed gifts Shirl with a jewel to distract her from his "other issues." Marie gives Jack some money, likely from the company, and tells him to settle his debt and pay her back soon. Lester notices Myrtle at the bar complaining about being on the phone all day and gets no help. He hands her a form reminding her that customers have rights and it is his job to protect them.
