In June 2010, Sir Paul McCartney was given the Gershwin prize by President Barack Obama. The show started by Sir Paul performing "Got to Get You Into My Life" before The Jonas Brothers did "Drive My Car" then Stevie Wonder performed "We Can Work It Out". Then Jerry Seinfeld did his stand up in which he made fun of some of McCartney's lyrics. Faith Hill then sang "The Long and Winding Road" before Elvis Costello warbled "Penny Lane" which he mentioned living near when growing up. There were other fine performances by others but I'll just say how great the whole show was especially when Sir Paul came back on stage and performed "Michelle" after which he mentioned "This is probably the first time I'll get punched by the president!" But Obama was all smiles when he presented him with the medal and it was a fine ending when they all joined to chant the "na na"s of "Hey Jude". Oh, and then there was a black-and-white segment taped earlier of McCartney singing "Yesterday". After all these years, it's still great seeing him still performing his iconic hits and others pay tribute to him when also singing them. So on that note, if you stumble upon this either on PBS or DVD, I highly recommend "The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song: In Performance at the White House - Paul McCartney".
