For the last 4 years a simple game called Gacha life became a phenomenon on Youtube. Lots of children and teenagers made cute characters and created stories of various genres. I tried the online version of the game and it was good. Like, really good!
One of the main purposes of the game is to create characters and there's lots of choices to choose from. Other games like this would have a few clothing and then the rest need to be bought either for virtual or real currency. But in here, all options are free. And you can recreate anyone you want: your friends, family, favorite characters from movies, anime and cartoons, your own characters and even yourself. The possibilities are truly endless there! But it doesn't just end on hairstyles, clothes and accessories. You can also change their posses and backgrounds for each one. And there is also a studio mode where you can create fun scenarios with your gacha people. It seems like the game is innocent and there's nothing wrong with it, right? On one hand, it can motivate players to create stories and cartoons, with the big variety of backgrounds and props, all they need to do is to make and tell the story to others. This game requires lot's of imagination and if you ever wanted to tell your story in a simple, yet effective way, then gacha life is perfect for you. But on the other hand Gacha can easily be ruined by some players. Some of them create Gacha Heat, which is mostly 18+ content and it ruins the community a lot. So much so that newcomers start to believe that everyone makes inappropriate content and that the game isn't for children. But the company behind Gacha life Lunime removed some stuff out of it like beige color choices for clothes, some poses and mouths, in order of preventing such content being made. Which I think it's good, despite some disadvantages that may cause old players to be disappointed. Now if your worried whether you should play the game or not, If you want to start making animation or telling fun stories, then this app is perfect for you. Just make sure it's suitable for everyone. As for myself, I don't play this game often, but occasionally I like recreating some characters in the game and simply having fun with it. I especially love the fact that you can add gradient to the hair and cute pupils to the eyes. Highly recommend the game!
