Templar Studios really outdid themselves. Their original claim to fame was the masterpiece Mata Nui Online Game in 2001 which kicked off the Bionicle franchise. Three years later, they added another fantastic piece of media to the ongoing storyline. Their blocky animation style is harnessed to resemble the iconic propaganda of 20th century totalitarian regimes and used to animate the Vahki, the mechanical police of Metru Nui. This is combined with a mechanical soundtrack (ironically called "Killing Machines") to deliver a chilling and inhuman effect. Each episode is very short and to-the-point, with bold imagery pierced by the surgical brutality of the Vahki.
