This is a great episode to show off the comedic talents of Lauren Lane whose C.C. Babcock is locked in the Sheffield wine cellar and trapped for hours when Fran comes in and gets locked in with her. It's Sylvia's birthday (50! Again!) And C.C. ends up looking like her thanks to Fran's doing her hair to pass the time, resulting in a hysterical visual gag. Lanes timing is perfect here, showing her bemusement at the situation which turns into comical panic on several occasions. Grandma Yetta and Brighton bond over her insistence that he is about to be Bar Mitzvah card, resulting in cash gifts that they plan to share later. Of course, Grandma Yetta has plans of her own. This is one of the very best episodes, consistently funny what are several of the cast members get to inhale helium balloons, and that makes Fran's voice even more nasal than before. Even with Ann Guilbert there as Yetta, it's Lane who steals the show and that's no easy task with this cast. Fran's father. Mort Drescher guest stars as her uncle and is very funny.
