This is quite possibly the best scary episode of "Hey, Arnold!"!
"Headless Cabbie" was an episode that frightened me so much, when I was younger, and I can say with all assurance that the tension and eerieness this particular episode has to it is so much fun. Kids who have never seen this episode before will absolutely love the scary aspects to it. With that being said, younger kids will be petrified. But, again, on the other hand, what's Halloween without a little scariness?
This episode-or segment-alone is a great testimony I use, when I explain to people why cartoons in the 90s and early 2000s were the very best kids ever had.
I could seriously re-watch this episode over and over again. There's nothing like it, although some of the other "Hey, Arnold!" episodes come close. The tone is just so spooky, here. The atmosphere of this urban legend of a headless cabbie from the olden days of the kid's city is just plain masterful in its crafting. I don't understand even the adults who watch this episode and don't love it. It's absolutely perfect, especially for being a kid's show!
