Norm Gets Down to Business...Right Woody
Hitchcoc30 August 2019
Norm gets all kinds of painting jobs and offers but is too stuck in his beer drinking hole to do the work. Rebecca moves in and advises him to hire others and form a real business (though Woody gets credit for the whole thing). But he is too much of a soft touch, so drastic measures become necessary. Kreiser is born! There is also a pretty funny subplot where Sam sells his Corvette, with hilarious results.

The Two Faces of Norm (#8.5)
ComedyFan20108 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Norm hired some people for his painting business but he tries to be their friend boss and they never do any work. As solution Frasier suggests him to create another character, who is a boss above them and who is more strict. It gets a bot out of hand and the workers want to go and talk to him.

The idea is funny and I really like Norm but for some reason this episode wasn't as great as most. Still lots of funny moments with Norm portraying his two faces.

I guess the episode is not that great because the car story is pretty boring. Only funny moment was with Frasier telling Lilith to give back the car.

I Gotta Get My Car Back...
Bolesroor1 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Norm creates a vicious alter-ego to help manage his employees. For those of you wondering the answer is yes- Norm has employees now. He hired a trio of brain-dead drones to help him paint the walls, and not surprisingly these goons aren't very motivated.

What else is a beer-guzzling lard-wallet to do but shout into an empty chug-mug and call himself Kreitzer? Norm goes schizo, but it's not particularly funny. He's supposed to be a sane man pretending to be a lunatic, but he just comes off like an actual lunatic. Frasier's character is damaged when the writers actually have him advise Norm to create a second identity in order to run his business... bad medicine from the good Doctor.

Meanwhile, Sam sells his car to buy the bar back, because when he owns the bar he'll be making enough money to buy the car back. Again. Grand plan, Sam Malone.

Cynthia Stevenson guest-stars as Doris, Norm's fake-secretary. Her timid, mousy nature makes her just funny enough for this one episode: to have her back again would be too much, and unfunny in every way. No chance of that happening.

This is a decent episode but we're starting to play fast and loose with reality... the entire bar shouting "Anton" in unison...? If you say so.

GRADE: B-
