Bee Movie
Hitchcoc28 August 2019
When another corporate head is fired, Rebecca goes to meet the new guy. It turns out he is a wunderkind who looks just a little more than twelve years old. He is also arrogant and power hungry. He demotes Sam and puts Rebecca back in charge of Cheers. Meanwhile, a subplot is Woody getting bees and keeping them in the boss's office.

Warning: Spoilers
Although it's not labeled as such, this episode is Part One of a two-part episode, followed with "One Happy Chappy In A Snappy Serape." The episode reverses the setup established in the season premiere as Rebecca is promoted back to manager and Sam bucked back down to bartender. It's obvious since they only changed roles two episodes ago that the writers were still unsure as to what premise would work better, but at this point they were right to return Rebecca to the role of boss.

The chemistry between Sam and Rebecca is starting to get much better at this point, and they enter into much more of a friendly and harmless flirtation, in contrast to the genuine romantic magnetism of Sam and Diane. Martin Teal is the boy executive who pursues Rebecca, and although the story is funny there's something depraved about tiny actor Alex Nevil, something perverse about his lust and sociopathic courtship. The real star of this two-parter is Gerald Hiken as Dennis, Martin's assistant, who steals the show as the long-suffering executive sycophant.

Oh, and Woody has bees for some reason. Never mentioned before or since. His B-story gives us this week's silly sight gag: Woody emerging from the office in full bee-keeper uniform with clouds of bug bomb smoke billowing out behind him.

"Waitress, there's a drone in my Lowenbrau..."

Executive Sweet (#7.3)

Warning: Spoilers
Sam wants to go out with Rebecca but she said she will concentrate on her career and only go out with men who will help her career. The new executive asks her to come over, in the elevator she meets a young man who asks her out but she makes fun of his age only to find out that he is the new executive. She tries to get out of it but at the end goes on a date with him and he also decides to propose.

A pretty good episode. First I am glad Rebecca got her manager position back. I was not happy with the idea of lowering her status before. Hope it sticks.

The scene in the elevator and later in Martin Teal's office was very funny. I don't know if it is just me but Alex Revil really reminded me of Michael Cera, although I am not sure Michael Cera was even born back then. A good character, enjoyed him in this episode.
