A brilliant 'Cheers' episode
studioAT20 January 2017
This is one of my favourite episodes of 'Cheers', and one of the few that adds an element of farce into the usual mix of great characterisation and verbal dialogue.

Even in its tenth season this show was on top form, and it's a fast paced, funny episode, with Ted Danson's Sam trying to keep it all together. I liked what they did with his character in the post Diane years.

It's easy to say that they don't make comedies like this anymore but 'Cheers' to this day certainly remains the high bench mark for others to match. This episode proves that.

An Old-Fashioned Wedding (#10.25)

Warning: Spoilers
It is the day of Woody and Kelly's wedding. They can't wait until after the wedding and have sex but feel there is nothing wrong with it if they get married on this day. But Carla does them a horoscope and says the wedding should be off as it will be a disaster. They still go through with it but so many things are going wrong and the gang has to do their best to save it.

A great one hour episode for the season finale. Somuch is happening, so much action and so much fun! All the hiding of the dead priest, trying to convince the other one to perform the wedding and while no therapy by Frasier helps, alcohol does. Trying to hide Woody and Kelly being together from Kelly's dad. Sam's conflict with the sword wearing German, Rebecca "eating the groom". Absolutely awesome and each character is at their best.

Hilarious

This episode revolves around goings on at the site of Woody's and Kelly's wedding. It starts with Carla doing an astrology chart for the and determining that this day is a bad for the wedding. And as the episode unfolds. Even none believers will begin to agree with her interpretation. More things than any one person could imagine go wrong and have to be dealt with. And as usual, it's not just the things that are going wrong that add to the humor. The attempts to deal with the problems are many times funnier than the problems themselves. Watch for some issues with the dumb waiter that will have you in stitches. A lot of shows don't have this many gags, jokes and stunts in a season. Everyone involved with the show threw all they had at this episode. And the results are hilarious. It's been carefully crafted to keep you laughing through the whole hour. This cast was proved over the previous 10 years and this was a great season ender. In fact the high quality this episode calls into question the decision to the end series and the end of next season. Everyone involved were in top form. I saw this episode when it was first offered. And catching it again nearly twenty years later was a pure delight.

Really great fun

This episode was non stop, it never slowed down. It was brilliant to see all the characters on top form attempting to deal with all the madness that happens in this episode! Really really enjoyable and a lot of fun to watch even if you have to keep reminding yourself what has happened before in the episode.

A Real Recipe for Disaster
Hitchcoc10 September 2019
Carla warns Woody that his horoscope shows bad news ahead. He and Kelly are getting married and there's no changing things. The Cheers crew have been given the honor of providing the wine and spirits and working in the kitchen. Rebecca gets into it with a French pastry chef right from the start with devastating results. Meanwhile, Norm, Cliff, and others are making asses of themselves. The minister arrives. What could go wrong?

I didn't even smile.

Warning: Spoilers
You know when an episode starts with an alleged Catholic relying on the occult, nothing good will come of it. This was just lowball, juvenile antics. From the fight with the caterers to trying to hide a dead body (Really? Normal human reaction would be to call for help in that situation.) to the German schifosa to the drunk, marriage averse uncle. I just skipped to the next episode.
