- A "flasher" opens his coat in front of two women who have a horrified reaction it is implied he is nude underneath.
- Velma seduces Wilbur as Edna walks in on him.
- Rumors are spread about Tracy being sexually active.
- Velma sings about sleeping with pageant judges as a way to win (and later mentions risking an STD which is a double entendre because her title was "Miss Baltimore Crabs")
- Velma pulls padding out of a teenage girl's dress a teen boy pulls padding out of his pants before she does so to him.
- One of the female cast members of The Corny Collins show says she's taking a hiatus for 9 months implying pregnancy. (Corny then makes a joke about her promiscuity)
- Tracy places Penny's hand on her chest asking if she can feel her heartbeat, she then removes her hand with an embarassed look on her face.
- During the "I Can Hear the Bells" song Tracy sings the line "Won't go all the way but I'll go pretty far" while behind the wheel of a car the camera pans out to show a mortified drivers ed instructor.
- Corny sings the line "Looks like you could use a stiff one" in a commercial jingle.
- Link's song "Lady's Choice" contains multiple inuendos.
- Edna mentions some of Prudy's "personal stains" require pounding with a rock.
- While in detention Tracy slaps her butt and says "I'm a bad girl who needs to be punished!"
- Mr Pinky tries to guess Edna's bra size when she tells him her size he exclaims "I've hit the mother loade!" In the same scene she is shown wearing lingerie in a fitting room.

- Tracy taps a police officer on the shoulder with a picket sign she is charged with assault for this.
- Amber briefly dangles from a stage prop on a fly then falls she is not injured but is in emotional distress.
- Penny's mother ties her to a bed post with a jump rope and splashes holy water on her while calling her a "devil child" as punishment for being in love with Seaweed.
- Corny Collins accidentally backhands Amber von Tussle in the face. He was showing the camera and audience the view and Amber was in the way. Played for laughs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Racism and fat shaming are two main plot points.
- Velma and Amber are extremely racist and fat phobic they make rude remarks about other people and have very vindictive personalities.
- This film is set in the early 60s when racial segregation was common several instances of this are shown such as a rope separating black and white teens at a dance party, the detention room being full of black students and black dancers only being allowed to perform once a month on a popular TV show which this episode includes a term that is now considered a racial slur in present day.
- The song " I Know Where I've Been" may make some viewers emotional especially if they have experienced racial discrimination.
