This is a short film composed of many quick flashes on Tibetan thangkas. (I'm not going to explain what thangkas are -- not enough room here.) This has the effect of animating the figures and scenes as the camera shows, for example, a Green Tara in a variety of poses. This is certainly a new and creative way of looking at thangkas. My first reaction was that this was just some arty western take on the subject, but after a while, he does make a point -- these are living entities usually portrayed frozen in time in the thangka, which he has liberated so to speak. Clever little movie. But I still don't think you'll get much from it as purely art.

P.S. Tanka is actually spelled Thangka.
