Christopher Ford plays a most amusing role of an over dependent cat-owner.

This short was excellent. I had the fortune of stumbling upon it on IFC this afternoon. Christopher Ford should certainly be recognized as both writer and actor. Plus the fish? Bloody brilliant! Jake Shreider the Fish II, just brilliant. The cat, I think, deserves the most credit in this film, as he certainly won my heart even though I'm more of a dog person myself. Wonderfully written and executed, this film certainly made my day. I especially loved the opening scene where Christopher is sitting in that bright orange shirt looking very ready for Halloween, and that voice-over comes.. 'I think the cat and I are drifting apart.' I knew right then and there that this film was a masterpiece. Oscar-worthy, in my opinion. I enjoyed the idea of him writing to his diary about his relationship with his cat deteriorating, and I truly can't decide which scene was better: the one with the note addressed to 'HUMAN' or the very last one where Christopher arranges a new cat out of a Chinese food container and a milk carton. The best bloody thing that's ever been on my TV screen, I really must say.
