Have you ever been in love? Have you been lucky enough to find that special one to share your life with? Or are you still waiting for that special someone? Are you parents with children of age to get married and settled? Who ever you are, you can find yourself being portrayed in this beautiful movie AP.

Me being a very occupied and a busy doctor struggling to free some time to satisfy the thirst to appreciate a quality work of art has already watched the movie few times rather than just once.

The artist in me is madly in love with AP not just because of the extraordinarily beautiful music by Yasas Medagedara that drives the story to a different level or because of the exquisite colours, camera angles, art direction and the breath taking sceneries but because of the depth that it touches in life.

Even though it seems as a simple movie with a simple story line, it has been able to open our eyes to the unseen angles of what is obvious and right in front of us. It speaks of the inescapable reality when it comes to ownership in love, As Rahul, Parami and Menaka fight a battle of their own on one common ground of love.

The upcoming and popular actresses Roshel and Shanudri who gives life to Parami and Menaka, are doing an excellent job in trying to link to ends of the world they are lost in by the heart melting expression of emotions.

And this link being non other than Rahul himself who is a novel face to the movie industry, gives a whole new touch and a different perspective to the usual and the conventional lover of a romantic story, by his natural and unique ways of doing justice to the simple yet completed, shallow yet deep, found yet lost and expressive yet the introvert character in which he plays an extraordinary role.

From the very first day until now AP has never failed in making me get emotionally lost in my thoughts every single time i watched it.

The crowd of the audience that comes out of the theatres after their lives being reflected on the screen in AP with eyes full of tears beats any other evidence to prove what an exquisite creation of art it is by the family of AP directed by Wasawa Baduge.
