Warning: Spoilers
I want to preface this by saying that I am a teacher who works with autistic kids, and a cross country coach. This movie should be right up my alley.

I was so so so let down by this movie!

The premise is solid, autistic boy, who is the Son of the football coach struggles to fit in at high school. One day he sees an African runner going around the track and decides to run with him. They discover that he has a natural talent for running. The boy really wants to run in his town's first ever marathon race. Of course, there are plenty of people who say he cannot do it, however, he trains and better prepares himself for the grueling race.

This idea is fine..

But, that's where the good ideas end. The story attempts to create nothing but obstacles. Many of them completely uncalled for. It's like the writer and Director felt they could only get about 10 minutes out of Aartistic boy training for a marathon, so they completely go off the rails with these far-fetched premises, and completely unlikable characters.

The mayor doesn't want him to enter the race because it would draw attention from the race and the town.. excuse me?

This is just one of many improbable and poorly executed ideas.

PS.. this kid is apparently the fastest runner in the world. Prepare yourself for this 🙄

This is a solid do not watch movie.
