Review of Tim

The movie Tim is based on the bestseller by Australian author Colleen McCollough, who also wrote The Thorn Birds, which later became a smash hit starring Richard "Shogun" Chamberlain. Anyway, I wonder to what extent Colleen drew upon the themes of Tim as autobiography, so worth pondering. Anyway, Piper Laurie, fresh off her success as Carrie's mom in the movie Carrie, has the lead role. Her co-star is Mel Gibson, who later achieved superstardom in Mad Max and Lethal Weapon, and he gives a nuanced performance that is worth a look.

Anyway, this film raises interesting issues about gender age gaps.
