A heartache rarely felt nowadays

Warning: Spoilers
I started watching this with a generous dose of skepticism. This is a remake of a book I found soppy and overly dramatic (speaks to the fact that I was much younger at the time). As the episodes progressed I was drawn in without warning. Emma Morley is a character to deeply likeable and relatable that many of you would feel you know someone just like her. Not too shabby, funny, intelligent and madly in love with a boy who just doesn't know her worth but loves her with the same intensity while being terrified of owning up to it and shedding his lover boy image. This is an easy to binge watch series (I finished it within 24 hours) and one that you might want to come back to when you're craving a story that makes your heart hurt a little sometimes and then feel giddy with joy for the two main characters. I knew how the book ends but was hoping they changed the ending here and Emma and Dex can get their happy ending. But is that even possible. Do such relationships exist in this world. I'm so happy I found this series. If you are a hopeless romantic you must watch this!
