I very much like Stewart and Colbert, so I stuck with this until the end. But it was not enjoyable. Not at all. The script is truly awful, full of ludicrous dialogue and ridiculous situations. The two main characters are both downright dislikable. I can't see what MGM saw in it, and I don't understand why they chose to put two major stars in it. Colbert's character is constantly making a mess of things and then whimpering in a most annoying way. Stewart's character takes a huge risk without anything solid to go on. Guy Kibbee's character puts up with a lot of physical mistreatment. In fact, for what is supposedly a romantic comedy , there is a lot of violence here
