A good message, but a purely biased story

Warning: Spoilers
My main critic on this is that the plot point where we learn about older Scott pilgrim, they show a bitter old and vengeful childish image of the character, in an attempt to villainise the male protagonist of the main show.

While they failed to elaborate older Scott's perspective, they portray Ramona as a flawless character. They also added an element of double standard at the ending when older Ramona told old Scott that he could have worked on the relationship when she was the one who left. She left but still expects Scott to do all the work on himself and woo her, without her taking any accountability or giving support or putting anything on the table.

Without providing older Scott's perspective, without depicting a realistic female lead and relationship dynamic, I feel that the story lacks a realistic dynamic, but still wants to impose a biased message on its male audience.

Some elements of the story and message were good, I felt a lot of the story was to make a satire out of the male characters in the story and show all powerful and flawless female characters, instead of bringing them to a point of understanding where both sides see their flaws and perspectives.
