It's so nice to see Elizabeth Olsen in something more serious/dramatic compared to the endless Marvel movies these days. Here Elizabeth really shines playing the real life person Candy Montgomery. Even though Elizabeth gives a terrific performance this series kind of drags on a little bit toward the middle. It is also is a head scratcher for me why HBO would green light this when Hulu recently came out with the same type of series titled "Candy" with Jessica Biel. Do we really need two of these series out there in the market? Jessie Plemons also gives a solid performance here as the husband who Candy has an affair with. I feel like this series would have been better off being 4-5 episodes instead of the 7. With triming this series down a little bit would have made things flow a little bit better, instead of getting dragged down in a couple of episodes. Hopefully from this we will get to see Elizabeth Olsen be a lead in more dramatic roles for movies and television. Love & Death gets a 7 out of 10 for me.
