I've really enjoyed this show over the past few decades.
Today, I instantly dropped a few stars off my own personal review score for the show. This may not matter to one single person but it matters to me and, I believe, the State in which I live.
There was a study done where Utah was first place. If Kelly was any quieter when Utah's #1 score was read, I would've thought she wasn't present in the show. In fact, Utah's score in this study was spoken of a couple of times by the guest, but not a real great reaction ever came from Kelly.
I was appalled. I've lived in Utah since 1980. I was raised in Southern California for 18 years prior to moving to Utah with my family.
It's been wonderful here. In fact my son had been with DreamWorks for many years and chose to move away from California. It's not the home I knew, that's for sure.
Well, I think thousands have gotten the memo! Utah is a great place to raise families, yet people come to just live here as well.
I'm now watching thousands move here from California and many other states. (Do the math) It's becoming the Anaheim/Los Angeles of the 80's and 90's, and up until today, and it's come to Utah. I'm watching the immense growth here as I witnessed in the 60's and 70's in Southern California, no lie!!
While Palm Springs is nice, I prefer being out of California, period. And many others obviously think the same. They seem to be running away, not moving to California. That'd make me a little nervous about living there again. So Kelly, while Utah may not be your cup of tea, it would've been nice to see or hear anything coming from you that looked or sounded like a compliment. Or just being positive would've worked for me as well. I felt a kind of quiet disgust from her. At least Mark gave Utah's status a look and was very positive.
If you don't like Utah for whatever reason, try not to show it too much to the public. I immediately became a "sitting on the fence fan" today.
One fan lost doesn't really matter right! Or does it?
