Warning: Spoilers
When the House of Eliott first came out in 1991, I wasn't even born. My mom was about 25 and not even she had heard of it. I was born 2 years after the show went off the air in 1994, but it took me until 2016 to discover the show even existed.

My mom and I watch tv shows together (we have similar taste) and when I brought this show to her, I was kind of surprised she never heard of it. We watched the show in 2016 for the first time and we both loved it!

The storyline of two sisters, Beatrice and Evangeline making their own way in the world together against all odds is so inspiring- and it makes you realize now its sadly not all that different for women even today. And the fashion! It really changes with the decade as time goes on. From the Edwardian style clothes at the beginning of the show, to the more signature style flapper looks towards the middle, and the onset of 30 fashion towards the end- it's super fun to watch!

I really loved the romance with Jack and Beatrice- even if it got a little bit too frustrating at times. Jack really loves her and for being a bit of a playboy at first- was really fun to see him change his ways to show Beatrice how much she means to him! I do wish they didn't keep them apart for as many episodes as they did.

With Evie, it took her a bit to find the one, but it was really cute when she did find Daniel, he won me over!

In regards to the ending, I have discovered it wasn't the writers fault. In between season 3 and the would be 4 there was a fire that damaged 85% of the costumes, and it was deemed to expensive to recreate them. Sadly it then was cancelled. It's so sad too, because I think it would have gone on.

I would actually love to see a revival- maybe set in the 50s or 60s so the time gap would be the same in the narrative as it is in real life. It could focus on Jack and Bea's daughter and any children Evie may have- and the original cast could still be in it and make guest star appearances.

Make it happen BBC!
