Another Goddard film that has not aged well. Best viewed in it's original French version, not the fully dubbed English version.
More a curiosity now than a great film. Interesting to see Fritz Lang, the famous German director of "Metropolis", "M", "The Big Heat", acting as a himself. Then there is a young Jack Palance, an actor who has proven he can deliver a great performance with the correct director, which Goddard doesn't appear to be, stilted and in one dimensional character mode plus Brigitte Bardot at the height of her fame doing a tasteful full nude scene (just to satisfy the American Producer).
I saw this on Blu-Ray, nice print/transfer. The special features on the disc were more interesting than the actual picture, which I found slow and meandering.
