Kind of an interesting experiment in making a new movie out of deleted scenes and alternate takes, and it was better than I was expecting, though still not great.
It seems to establish itself at first as a sequel to Anchorman? But it feels far more like an alternate reality Anchorman (alternate to the original film's reality, I should say).
The humour is extremely hit and miss. I'd say a lot of the stuff with the core news team is pretty funny, but there's not as many scenes of those four all together as you'd expect, especially in the first half.
The core plot was pretty lame. I'm glad that stuff was all cut out of the original.
