I never knew that Pacino and Hackman were in a movie together, so of course I had to see it. "Scarecrow" is about two total strangers who happen to meet and become friends. While hitchhiking Frances Lionel "Lion" Delbucci (Al Pacino) and Max (Gene Hackman) become business partners and buds in short order. Lion is a funny, happy-go-lucky character while Max is a focused, serious, short-fused individual. Max's plan is to open a carwash in Pittsburgh and he has it all mapped out. They need only stop in Denver to visit Max's sister Coley (Dorothy Tristan), and Detroit to visit Lion's kid. A lot happens in their road trip and it only makes them better friends.
