6/10
loves of a blonde

First 30 min of Milos Foreman's second film, set at that dreary dance, to the accompaniment of music that that sounds like crappy rock mixed with polka, and featuring a trio of the schlubiest soldiers this side of F Troop, is well done, gentle comedy. But then the title character goes to the musician's room and that long, talky seduction scene happens and boredom ensues. In other words, I had a 180 degree opposite reaction than the previous reviewer. C plus.
