It's good, but it's not perfect.

I do have to admit that I really loved that show as a kid. It's not the best show in the entire history of television, but it does have some flaws, even the earlier seasons. Some episodes are great, but there are some episodes that can be really unsettling for me to watch (mostly the Gordon episodes, which by the way, Gordon's grumpy face from the model era really terrified me, I just don't like that character so much, which it made me really upset every time I see his face or hear his tone of voice).

But other than that, it's a pretty good show. Seasons 1 to 7 were the classic, then seasons 8 to 16 has gone downhill to the point of being completly garbage. Now I only watched a few episodes from the Andrew Brenner era (I didn't watch the show as much now so that's probably why. Because I was getting older anyway) and I thought those seasons were pretty decent. But then, Big World, Big Adventure came, and the show had started to become complete garbage again. Edward and Henry were replaced by Nia and Rebecca respectivity and Toby was also removed from the Steam Team (which by the way, it was pointless to begin with). After that, the show got cancelled (and it ended it on a very sour note). Then Mattel decided to make a reboot of this series and Nelvana co-produced this series, which is All Engine Go and that series was WAY worse than the bad seasons from the original series.

You do have to give credit to the original composers of this series, as some of the music were really good (especially the runaway theme). I'm not a huge fan of this series like I used to be when I was a kid, but it's still nostalagia (at least in the earlier seasons). It's a show for preschoolers, so it's easy to outgrew it, but only watch it for nostalagic purposes.
