What a curious little picture to just discover on amazon prime.

It's funny how I found this just after watching the movie "The Lie" which handled a similar concept a lot more seriously (Canadian movie too). This movie is a great example of how Americans can use humor in any situation to make it palatable and engaging.

It's a simple set up: someone gets killed; they all cover it up. The emotional and physical struggle to do this is all part of the journey. It's never trite or sanctimonious but it ticks all the boxes it needs to to make sense.

The "victim" is totally unsympathetic while still not interesting enough to leave a big hole in the movie and the process was pretty tense but never stressfully so.

There's a movie called "A young man with high potential" which (again) is like this but not funny. Excellent film...

Not for everyone but I just frickin' admire how this movie just went there.
