Finer than expected
18 September 2021
I did not expect much but a digestible Saturday night kind of a film. It was, but without the annoying faux anti-establishment hullabaloo and oddly sexist vibe that hounds a lot of lesser 80s comedies.

Bill & Ted are just some stoner that you would expect without the extravagantly annoying machismo of Rogen films. They know what they want and they do what they need to get it. Plain and simple

In addition, the zany premise of storyline works marvelously. Together with the 'stylized performance' of Winter and Reeves, it actually vibes well. I did not expect it given how out-there it got that it does never truly bother me. Its cartoonish and they too are, which actually is a rare accomplishment for a film made after the 80s.

Overall, a greater film than expected.
