This Mockumentary Reminded Me of The Office
27 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This film is very clever and funny. Most of the low ratings come from the fact that the reviewers thought it was going to be a low-budget horror film. It is not: it is a fake-documentary about the making of a low-budget horror film.

It reminded me of The Office in some respects (aside from the fact it was filmed (Allentown, PA) not far from where The Office supposedly took place (Scranton, PA). Some of the humor is slapstick, some situational, and some subtle. For example, when David Naughton's director character talks about how Scorcese had problems making Apocalypse Now (it was Coppola) he reminded me of Michael Scott's attempts to appear knowledgeable on The Office.

Of course, The Office did not have the fake gore or nudity this has.
