Adapted from a stephen king book (written under his richard bachman pseudonym), set in the future of 2017 and 2019, the movie tells the story of richard, played by arnold schwarzenegger, a wrongfully sentenced cop for killing innocent people. He escapes prison but is caught. He is forced to enter a tv game show called the running man.
It is everything what you can expect from a 80's action movie. It has violence, our main hero: arnold schwarzenegger and of course lot's of one liners.
If you don't take this movie too serious, you will be able to enjoy it. Just keep in mind that this movie was created in an era where films were made a certain way.
It's also kinda fun to watch this movie in 2019, where the story is supposedly set.
