The Wee Man (2013)
4/10
Disappointed

As a so called Glasgow "mean city" movie, this was average. The male leads were believable though the female actors were let down by a poor script. Although,John Hannah as Tam McGraw(The Accountant) was laughable.Martin Compston as Paul Ferris was very believable, if somewhat restricted by the supporting cast. Stephen McCole as Arthur Thompson Jr was basically the same character he played in Orphans but on coke. Peter Mullen made Neds a couple of years earlier and the storyline is basically the same. Also the "Operation Good Guys" connection was a distraction. TV dramas Just a Boys' Game and Just another Saturday have done the Glasgow period crime story SO much better.
