The cartoon follows the lives of Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil as they try to explore the world outside there 'baby prison'....
The show was very clever how it examined the big wide world through the eyes of a baby and made everything seem so big and scary; the show also had memorable characters like Anjelica who was constantly scheming to break the babies bond...Chuckie was my favourite, who was terrified of everything but really had a lot of courage.
I loved how the show used the parents as secondary characters who never really knew what was happening...A great 90's cartoon. The show 'All grown up' isn't as good as this show and fails to bring in the audience and the sense of adventure rugrats had...But Rugrats alone is a great cartoon for the ages.
