Amazingly Diluted Talent
15 January 2006
Let's start with the following fact: I really enjoy W.C. Fields, Burns and Allen, Rudy Valee, Bela Lugosi and Cab Calloway. Unfortunately, this movie gives tiny snippets of each...not even providing an entire song by Cab Calloway (Reefer Man). The only character who stays on the screen long enough to accomplish any kind of comedic timing is Gracie Allen, who trades one liners with Burns and others. Fields practically phones this performance in. Lugosi is forgettable.

Sterling Holloway (voice of Winnie the Pooh) makes an appearance in a dance number. He speaks not a word.

This was not a good movie.
