Knight Rider 2000 (1991 TV Movie)
5/10
A few good things but it just lacked so much

Warning: Spoilers
I really was excited when I got my KR Season 1 DVD box set. It was the coolest thing ever, to see my absolute favorite 80s show ever end up on DVDs, that I could cherish forever. Not only that, but the menu was cool, the episodes in clear and wonderful clarity, and of course, everything that was K.I.T.T just made me smile and fall in love with the show even more.

I was even more pleasantly surprised to see that the Knight Rider 2000 movie was included, as I had never seen it.

Well, I wasn't so thrilled after I watched it. Granted, the show had its moments, like when we saw the hot new KIFT, which was indeed a pretty cool looking car. But that's really all it had. Good looks. Compared to K.I.T.T, KIFT just looked like some wanna-be. But gawd, the torture of seeing K.I.T.T disassembled, and then Devon KILLED? That just put knives in my Knight Rider-loving heart. You have got to be kidding me. The only thing that stopped me from hating this movie was seeing K.I.T.T get revived and put into the new KIFT. But even so, they had Michael and K.I.T.T separate at the end. No. It should have been that Michael took K.I.T.T with him, and the two retired together. Then maybe when Michael finally died, K.I.T.T could go to a new owner. Those two were meant to be together for life. I truly was disappointed in what could of been a good movie. I do hope the new movie that's rumored to arrive soon is MUCH better then this. But even if not, I have the wonderful 80s show to keep me in love. ;)
