less famous than most WC Fields films, but one of his best

Warning: Spoilers
Many of W. C. Fields' films are among my favorites of the 1930s and 1940s. His earlier ones, though interesting, were generally remade and remade better by him in the talking era. I love this film as well as It's A Gift and The Bank Dick. All three are relatively short but well-paced little comedy gems that hold up better today than many of the movies of more famous comedians.

Fields is, once again, a hapless family man with a dream (pretty much the plot of the other two Fields films I mentioned). In this movie, the dream is to invent a puncture-proof tire and make millions. Despite setbacks, he is successful but no one believes him. Around this same time, he saves the life of a woman who turns out to be a princess! She believes in him and by the end of the movie, he has the last laugh on everyone. Charming and cleaver throughout!
