First...the special effects were very good. I liked how the oasis got sucked back into the temple at the end. The only special effect that I didn't think was all that good was The Scorpion King's face at the end when he was a giant scorpion...It looked too cartoonish and unreal. They should have imposed The Rock's face on the scorpions body. The fight scenes were great...especially the fight between Rachel Weisz and Patricia Velazquez...it was hot. The confusing part of the movie was about The Book of the Dead....in the original it made Imhotep mortal so he could be killed, but in this movie it brought someone back to life...How is that? I thought only The Book of Amun-Rha could bring people back from the dead, like it was said in the original. Plus, how did Anck-su-namun get brought back to life without the Book of Amun-Rha when the book fell into the liquid pit along with Imhotep in the original? Overall it was a good movie. Rate...8 or 9.
