This movie is a combination of an action movie, a heist film, a war film, and a political statement. Right from the start the movie has a different feel to it. Maybe it's the soundtrack, or the way the film is shot. Anyway, this adds to the films appeal. Clooney and crew are off on an adventure to nab some gold that was hidden in the desert. Along the way though we see the confusion and horrors of war. Bullets and wounds are depicted in slow motion. Torture scenes. I thought this movie would just be another Arnold type action flik, but it's a lot more. It makes you think. About war, about world politics, even about what is important in life. Gold or freedom? You decide.
