Westworld: Kiksuya (2018)
The episode everyone has been waiting for and needed
Not much to say other than this is the best episode in the Westworld series so far! Extremely well acting and writng, give this man more screen time.
Tolkien (2019)
Film making at it's finest
Simply the best movie of 2019 and one of the best in years, and now one of my favorite movies of all time. This deserves just about every award out there. This film has every emotion in it, the way film making should be. A true classic that deserves everyone's attention.
The Professor and the Madman (2019)
A phenomenal story to learn about
First of all, I didn't ever think Sean Penn could out perform his role in Mystic River for which he won the oscar for and is one of my favorite movies. But he took his role in this film to a different level and couldn't have been done any better by anyone else. Mel Gibson's role was just as powerful and I don't think anyone could have done it better than him and goes to prove that Mel can still play a leading role and still be considered at the top of the list to make a memorable movie. Sean Penn will definitely be a contender to win another oscar and in my opinion, he should win it again because I highly doubt he'll be surpassed this year by another actor. This year's oscar belongs to him hands down. The Professor and the Madman is a remarkable story of history that deserves to be told and rewarded.
White Boy Rick (2018)
An unexpected powerful movie
First off, Matthew McConaughey was at his best as usual but Richie Merritt absolutely nailed his role. I had never heard of him but man he can act with the best. White Boy Rick was a surprisingly powerful movie with a few good laughs and several very emotional scenes that were acted perfectly, and the meaning behind this movie hits you hard. The fact this was overlooked for any Oscars proves once again the critics don't know a good movie with a powerful message when they see one. My opinion, it's one of the best movies of 2018 and should have been nominated for it along with best actor and supporting actor. And for the 80s music fans, this has an awesome soundtrack that fits the movie perfectly.
Glass (2019)
And the Oscar goes to M. Night
Glass is an absolutely phenomenal film. M. Night has outdone himself, James McAvoy clearly deserves the best actor award. Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Sarah Paulson were just as great. As usual, M. Night blindsided everyone with the ending but I loved it, you'll just have to see for yourself. Glass will easily be one of the best films of 2019 and the masterpiece of M. Night Shyamalan.
