Tom Papa: You're Doing Great! (2020 TV Special)
3/10
Nothing Was Funny
6 February 2020
His opening joke is about people's homes burning around Los Angeles County and his kids running around the yard catching the ashes on their tongues as if it was Christmas WTF! People laughing at disasters?? Are people really this brain dead or are the laughs edited in for the special? I hope they edited in the laughs because literally after every sentence he says people are laughing like seals when NOTHING he says is funny whatsoever!! What is this garbage?! If Netflix recommends this AVOID IT! Don't fall for it like I did! I decided to give it a try & 20 minutes in I had to stop watching this torture because I hadn't laughed or cracked a smile AT ALL! Nothing was funny at all!! If you want some real stand up comedy watch Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Nate Bargatze, or Tom Segura! They all have specials on Netflix a million times better than the cringe I just put myself through! Avoid this Tom Papa special!

Boring
13 January 2020
Boring boring boring. Horrible storytelling. You have no idea what's going on the whole time because they never explain anything. If you haven't read the books or played the game you're gonna have a bad time. I had to fast forward many parts because it's that boring. You don't care about any characters since you don't know anything about them. Basic ugly girl becoming attractive storyline. Actual garbage with no substance.

A Great Star Wars Movie!
5 January 2020
Firstly it's obvious most people rating this film 1-2 stars are simply just saying "tHiS iS a ReBoOt gO wAtCh tHe OrIgiNaL hurrr durrr". It's simply blind hatred and it's clear most haven't seen THIS movie! Don't listen to the blind hate reviews!! They all have nostalgia goggles on from the original Star Wars movies! It's such a shame cuz I imagine it's angry 50 year olds just hate bombing the reviews cuz they have nothing better to do with their day lmfao.

I put off watching this movie for so long because of all the negative reviews people were leaving, but man have I missed out. The first time I saw this movie was today on Disney+ January 2020, so 5 years after release. The only reason I decided to watch it was because now that Rise of Skywalker is out I figured it'd be a good time to watch the new trilogy. I LOVE all the Star Wars movies, the original 3 ep 4-6, + the new eps they made at the beginning of the century ep 1-3. IMO all the movies have been great sci-fi/action movies.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is another great sci-fi/action movie. I went into this with an open mind, not trying to look for comparisons between this movie and the original "a new hope." If you go into this movie looking to compare every single scene between the 2 movies you will probably not like this movie because you will nit-pick every single scene! But if you're like me and just turn your brain off and just enjoy the show the movie is very thoroughly entertaining! Tons of action and great story development.

I'm 24 years old and found this movie very entertaining, and please understand I found the original Star Wars movies equally as entertaining when I was a little kid even though others would say they're boring. Also I didn't feel like they "shove" the woman main character into our faces as many others have stated. I usually hate when they force women/minorities into major roles of tv/movies simply to say "look a woman could do this too" or "look this woman is so strong & independent just like a man". This movie wasn't that. The female did a great job as well as Fin the black guy, they played their roles without garbage being shoved down our throats.

Finally the reason I wrote this review is to hopefully sway someone to watch this movie who was on the fence just like me. Please don't listen to the 1-2 star ratings. Sure some people may have actually hated the movie that much, but if you scroll through enough you will see that most super low ratings are just saying, "screw this movie, watch the original" lmfao, very constructive guys. It's a shame because if this movie wasn't review bombed it would definitely be a 9+ rating on IMDB and that's FACTS!

Watched this for the first time in 2019 on Hulu at 23 years old. This show does a great job of keeping up the laughs and each episode has a very interesting storyline. Yes this is a cartoon but the show is not immensely immature. It is very well done and the show can easily cater to adults. Like I said I'm 23 and found myself laughing a lot. It's hard to not fall in love with the main characters who are twins, Dipper & Mabel. Definitely check out this show, I slept on it for too long and am glad I finally watched it. Easy to watch through as well, series is only 40 episodes long; 2 seasons worth. I recommend watching it at least once. Great story with meaningful lessons in many episodes.

Funniest Canadian Show I Ever Seen
3 October 2019
Super funny cast of characters from a trailer park in Canada. This is the best/funniest show I have ever seen from Canada. An easy and worthwhile binge watch on Netflix for anybody looking to laugh. All seasons are under 10 episodes! The earlier seasons are only 6-8 episodes long but still gives enough time to develop a story and get to a resolution by the end of said season. Every episode made me laugh. The show revolves around a trio of characters always getting into trouble in the trailer park. Ricky, Julian, & Bubbles. You will quickly fall in love with at least one of these characters. Each deliver something refreshing to the show and put together they are a dynamic cast. The show is simply amazing and I have personally rewatched it two times at this point and am currently on my 3rd re watch. The cool thing about this show too is that when Netflix revived it, they didn't mess it up in my opinion. It was still a great and funny show when Netflix brought it back and am honestly glad they chose to revive the series when they did. Each Netflix season is 10 episodes long. This show is a great binge watch and if you're a fan of comedy I can't recommend this show enough. Seriously watch it! It's a great mockumentary.

Enjoyable thriller
2 October 2019
Overall a good movie and enjoyed my watch through of it on Netflix. Only reason I knocked the rating down is because I could do without the shaky camera police chase scenes. Too many shaky camera slow mo scenes. Straight up obvious they were used as filler for more screen time lol. Still a good movie even with the cheap slow mo. Kept me entertained the whole way through.

Show Has Fallen Off

Early seasons were way better. Newer seasons just straight up trashy. 1990s-early 2000s seasons 10/10. Have to give overall show 7/10 though since all the recent seasons have just been a shame to watch :/. Same dusty hoes getting piped by the same squad over and over again. Yawn; next 🤧😴😂

Watched this show for the first time in 2019! I've been missing out. This is now one of my favorite shows of all time. The show will have you laughing from beginning to end. The cast all work so well together. You have to watch this show if you've never done so. You won't regret it.

Gordon Ramsay The GOAT!
1 October 2019
I don't think the show is supposed to be a comedy but each and every episode will have you bursting out laughing. The basis of the show is chefs compete to win a job as head chef at one of Gordon Ramsay's famous restaurants with a hefty salary. Week by week 2 teams are tested with various challenges/dinner services. Losing team has 1 person eliminated each week. Last 2 people compete and Gordon Ramsay selects a winner. I absolutely love this show and you will get hooked on it. I've watched every single season and loved every one. Every season has new contestants so you see some strange and funny characters. Definitely check this show out. It's not your typical cooking show lol. It's a hardcore roasting session for 45 mins a pop. Watch this you won't regret it. Watch this you'll get hooked. IT'S RAW!!!!!! WHERE'S THE LAMB SAUCE?! Show should win an award for best comedy honestly.

Comedy Turned Documentary Turned Reality
1 October 2019
Eerie to how close we are to what the film depicted. Just rewatched it in Sep 2019 and it still made me laugh out loud. Movie has numerous funny moments and gives a glimpse into what the world is becoming. If you haven't watched this movie, you have to check it out. It became an instant classic for me the first time I watched it. What was comedic exaggeration in 2006 is becoming a reality in 2019. Must watch.

Gets Worse The More You Watch
1 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Started out strong. Was initially hooked on the first couple seasons. After a while the show just started to lose its way and I eventually had to give up in the beginning of season 6. Show started to feel more like a chore to watch rather than something to do to relax. I found myself checking how far along the episode was in Netflix quite often wondering "when is this gonna be over." Forced myself to keep watching to see how the story progressed but like I said gave up in season 6. I may come back and give it a chance again so I can complete the series, but what made me lose faith in the series is the overall direction they were taking the show! MAJOR SPOILERS: !!!!!!!

- - - - - Out of nowhere the writers of the show decided to KAMIKAZE the majority of the main cast in the earlier seasons. In the middle seasons of The Walking Dead they start to kill off main characters for literally no reason it seems. It started to piss me off not gonna lie. It seemed they had no more ideas on how to further progress the story so the writers were just like "let's axe this character this week" "oh we can do this character the next week after." LOL. Literally wtf it seemed like they were throwing darts at a board blindfolded with cast member pictures and that's how they would decide who would die in the next episode. It really feels like the killing spree of characters came outta nowhere and seemed uncalled for, for the way the show was going. Absolutely tragic because I believe the show would be way better today if they kept the majority of the starting cast and continued to evolve their storyline rather than the way they went about it.

Absolutely Hilarious
1 October 2019
I'm Mexican American so I connected a lot with the show and understood a lot of the scenes on a more personal level. I was never once offended by any of the jokes and the show is funny. Mexican stereotypes everywhere, but still I wasn't offended. It's a cartoon, go into it with a light heart and open mind to jokes that push boundaries and you will laugh out loud. Many scenes made me crack up because I could connect with the characters dilemmas. If you're Mexican I think you will really understand and see all the subtle things they put in the show, elevating it to another level.

Some people may get easily offended by the type of humor on this show, but I say those are just sensitive people. Like I said I'm Mexican/American 23 years old and had absolutely no issues with the show at all. Some things are racially stereotypical but they still made me laugh out loud. Give it a chance. Only 16 episodes so it's a quick binge watch!

GOAT of Sitcoms?
1 October 2019
Can't remember any other time I didn't want a sitcom to end. Watching the last episode is hard to believe it's the last time you'll see the gang together. Show does a great job of keeping a wide array of episode themes throughout its 10 season run. You fall in love with the cast and this sitcom is simply a staple in American Television. Have rewatched the series 5 times and I own the entire DVD box set. This was before Netflix was a thing lol. If you haven't seen Friends yet you have to check it out. It's one of the best if not the best sitcoms in a lot of people's eyes.

Repetitive but Great
1 October 2019
Loved the show. Would be a 10/10 but the last season isn't as good as the first 3. Also didn't like the repetitive themes of every season. Seemed like every season was same scenarios just in different environments. Even with that being said I still thoroughly enjoyed the show. Great cliffhanger episode endings leave you wanting more. Found myself saying this is the last episode of the night only to realize it's 3am 4 episodes later because the show hooks you that much where you can't stop watching lol. Love the show and it's worth a watch.

One of the funniest shows in recent years!! This show is severely underrated! Every episode had me laughing so much. Earl & Randy are the perfect duo. Have rewatched the entire series 2 times now and about to start my 3rd run through. A true & good tv comedy. Definitely worth a watch

Wrongly Advertised - Horribly Bloated
1 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
When looking at the trailer on Netflix it makes it seem like the show will revolve around the Marijuana trade happening in Northern California Humbolt County. It talks very little about the marijuana business and instead mainly just focuses on the case of a man who went to Humboldt County to trim plants and was murdered. Each episode they pretty much repeat what they said in previous episodes about the case and you see repetitive scenes over and over again. Very badly bloated episodes to extend each episode to 40+ mins. It was actually painful to watch through some of the episodes and I found myself constantly fast forwarding scenes because they constantly go back to talk about something they already talked about previously!! I get the show is called murder mountain but maybe showcase a wide array of cases in Humboldt County & not just 1. Was he the only man murdered in Humboldt County working in the marijuana trade ?? No. Exactly. Series should have a wider range of topics and focus on more people/cases and honestly for me a marijuana enthusiast the series just falls flat. Like I said the repetition scenes just get to be too much in the later episodes and found it a chore to get through the episodes even while fast forwarding. You pretty much learn everything about the guys case within the first 2 episodes and everything else is just filler repeating the same things over and over again. Series could have been way better and I'm honestly disappointed. I went into this show wanting to really like it, but I just can't. I can't even recommend this to anybody. It does a bad job of showcasing the marijuana trade in NorCal and it does a bad job of trying to be a crime show. So who exactly was this show produced for lol?? It's simply just a mess throughout. This ain't it chief

One of the Best
1 October 2019
Grew up watching this sitcom. Would be a 10/10 if the later parts weren't so meh. The characters are funny and you grow to love the family. Definitely a staple for family sitcoms. Everyone should watch the series at least one time through. Different episodes focus on different members of the household which I like because it keeps things fresh when binge watching. One of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Definitely looking at it through Nostalgia goggles though, probably rating it a little better than it deserves, but personally I really enjoyed the show a lot and have re watched the entire series 3 times through.

Strong Fox Start, Weak Netflix Filler
1 October 2019
Amazing first 3 seasons. Definitely worth a watch. Will make you laugh for sure. Buster is my favorite lol. If this show was only 3 seasons I would give it a solid 9/10, it was that good. Everything went downhill after Netflix revived the show. I couldn't even get halfway through the Netflix revamped seasons. They're simply just cringe. The actors don't really give off the same vibe they did in the first seasons with Fox. The Netflix writing falls flat and is messy being all over the place. Honestly just watch the first 3 seasons. You can check out the Netflix seasons if you'd like as well but be prepared to be let down, especially if you're binge watching the series. You can instantly feel the difference in quality going from season 3 ending to season 4 opening.

Lackluster Ending / Predictable
1 October 2019
Movie started out great. Gets you interested right away in what's going on. As the movie progresses it just gets sloppy. Predictable scene after predictable scene.. you already know what's going to happen. Some plot holes as well that never get resolved lol. As far as a Netflix made film it's very good compared to others they've made. If this movie came out in theaters though it'd be a solid 4 or 5/10 for me lol. Just kind of boring at some parts. But when comparing it to other Netflix films this is actually one of their best. I definitely say it's worth a watch at least 1 time. Anything more than that and idk lol. For a Netflix Film 7/10, compared to regular movies 4.5/10

Favorite Show of All Time!
28 September 2019
10/10 what are you doing if you haven't watched the office yet? I've ran through the entire show around 7-8 times now and still laugh at all the jokes and fall in love with all the characters every time. My favorite show of all time and I know many others share the same feelings. Michael Scott is so perfect and the supporting cast is just superb. Absolute TV perfection. 1st season is kind of slow but it picks up very fast after that IMO. Not bad at all, just a little slow. The last seasons are where it drops off for me, but I'm sure many people feel will feel the same way because something was missing ;( . Even with the worse/slower seasons accounted for I still give this show a 10/10, simply because the superb cast picked up the slack towards the end when leadership was lacking. You will constantly find yourself laughing throughout the show from all the silly situations the cast gets into. 10/10 recommend, what are you doing still reading this review? Go watch the office already if you haven't lol

OG Slasher Style Horror Movie!
28 September 2019
This movie deserves higher ratings IMO! This movie is no BS, no fillers! As soon as the movie starts it gets right to the point, no beating around the bush! True gore and very bloody. If you want an OG style gore horror film this is it. They don't make 'em like this no more. The main character clown does an excellent job of being creepy af and plays his role amazingly. If you like blood & guts, this is for you. The clown is very creepy in a good way for a film like this. Give it a chance.

Binge watching in 2019
28 September 2019
I am 23 years old so this show ran and ended before I was even born. I never watched the show at all even when re-runs were on tv. I saw the show was ranked as one of the best sitcoms of all time so I decided to give it a chance when i saw it on Netflix. I'm so glad I did and the show really is funny. You start to feel connections to the characters and you look forward to what new journey the crew will face on the next episode. Very easy to binge and I ended up going through a season in 2-3 days because I would constantly want to come back to see how the story progressed. The show is centered around a bar in Boston & after watching this show you really see how it paved the way for future sitcoms. I was a big fan of 'Friends' growing up and after watching cheers it's kinda eerie how many episode ideas in friends came from cheers. Even the opening scenes have very similar themes lol. After watching cheers I looked at other sitcoms differently and truly saw how much of an impact this sitcom had on others. The show is still funny in 2019 & I could easily see myself coming back to rewatch this show over and over again.
