Saving Brinton (2017)
Three-layered narrative centering on a perseverant storyteller-historian
I found Saving Brinton to be a great documentary, owing partially to its unusual and interesting topic and its wonderful images. However, what I loved most about the documentary was its three-layered narrative: At face value, the documentary is about the uncovering of the history of the Brintons' contribution to film projection. However, I think that the Brintons comprise the second layer of the narrative of the documentary. I think that the broadest, outermost, and perhaps most central layer is the story of Michael Zahs, a perseverant storyteller-historian who dedicated more than 30 years of his life to researching and communicating the evidence about the lives and work of two people whom happen to have lived in the same house as him 120 years ago, the Brintons. The third layer is the discovery of the few remaining copies of Georges Melies' movies in color, which were owned and projected by the Brintons.
Inception (2010)
My favorite movie from my favorite director. Artistic perfection!
Inception is definitely one of my favorite movies, if not #1 by far. What sets Inception apart from all others is the fundamental idea underlying it: That dreams are a multidimensional reality on their own right and that they are great influences on our daily life. But that is not it. Hans Zimmer's perfectionist composition of the OST and the beautiful creation of dream worlds is simply fascinating. The idea and the music and the visual atmosphere and the entire storyline make Inception an extraordinary work of art.

Adaptation. (2002)
A fun story of multiple personalities
Adaptation is definitely a funny movie. Our main character or 'character(s)' is a screenwriter likely struggling with multiple personalities and who has little confidence in himself. In the movie, we see events unfold as our character tries to adapt a book. As the story unfolds, the viewer loses track of what is real and what is not. The script our character is writing becomes an integral part of himself. In the end, we see that our character(s) has become one.
I won't reveal too much, definitely give this film a try! :)
Chingisiin huuhduud (2017)
No organized plot, no connection, nothing! 1h 30 min wait for the incomplete, nonsensical ending.
This film is a terrible fail. The whole conflict of the film is rendered obsolete due to the incomplete ending.
The 'Sara' character, though being the secondary focus, has little to no positive impact on the film and only creates an unnecessary awkward atmosphere throughout by talking without thinking. The child's connection to Sara is barely hinted- why the child is so attached to her and why he writes her a long letter is unresolved to say the least. Nothing is summed up, no goal reached, no artistic experimentation, no consistent storyline! You'll just have to sit for 1:30 hours waiting for a resolution of this terribly executed film of no consistent storyline and below mediocre artistic value.
