The Ghost Writer (2010)
Good story, bad end.
Interesting without a need for unnecessary action scenes. Captivating all the way to the end, then what? Disappointed in the open ending that came too soon.
Father Brown: The Missing Man (2016)
factually lacking but heavy with feelings
The episode for sure has a lot of goofs, but i don't expect 100% accuracy from tv dramas ever.
SPOILER:
i was shocked to see the , albeit little, representation of the lgbtq+ community. it was never made clear if the victim was trans or a drag queen but seeing as they had to disappear from their family i suppose it's the first. i was even more surprised to see how father brown seemed to encourage acceptance but also understanding of the times they're living in. wouldn't expect a catholic priest in the mid 1900s to be that open minded honestly, but i suppose the writers wanted the episode to go over well with a more open minded current day audience.
either way this episode really warmed my heart and i loved the unnecessary aircraft flight scene. i felt for the daughter and it was a very well written story in my eyes, although rushed and absurd at times.
The Bucket List (2007)
Mind Opener
A movie where not that much happens to catch your eye, but to catch your heart. It leaves an impact and makes you think about the life you will want to have led once you "kick the bucket".
White Chicks (2004)
Not for the sensitive
This movie is definitely offensive, disturbing and plain ridiculous at times. BUT if one looks past that it is also pretty damn hilarious.
A Long Way Down (2014)
A half-good movie about something important
It's far from perfect but a sweet thought and in the end it pulls through to be just enough.
I'd recommend it for people who enjoy heartfelt and inspiring stories over detailed quality.
Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009)
Unfortunate
Good music, characters and creativity. But the story is rushed and acting is painful at parts, which makes the entire movie laughable.
