A Boy Called Christmas (2021)
Added to my Christmas faves
Love stories that unfold as a part of story telling. Fantasy woven throughout the storyline, that a boy names Nikolas adapts when life appears to keep giving him difficulty after difficulty. Things he loves destroyed, fear as a part of his journey to find his father. Leaving the only home he knew, extremely small cottage and a disgruntled aunt, insensitive to Nikolas' needs. Mouse, reindeer, elf's , unbeknownst to Nikolas what Christmas is, what it means. His quest to find his father, learning about Christmas and ultimately learning more about himself. The journey has many twists and turns in cold wintry background. Truth can be hard, lessons all around. Highly recommend this family movie for everyone.
Champions (2023)
Friends always win
Feel good film by Director Bobby Farrelly, throughly enjoyed it. Basketball is what brings everyone together. Perhaps not the NBA, these games feel more important. Everyone on board to learn skills, use them and start making their way to the news on tv and the papers. Great montage of everyone's story background. Giving us insight without dragging it on. This film feels real and you can feel the attachment and love even when we refuse to see it as love. Make no mistake, a ton of love is shared in this movie. Great motivational nuances thrown in, with the coaching getting far more attached than they intended. Great script, fabulous acting from the ensemble! I highly recommend this film! Family film.
Sophie's Rules (2023)
Feel Good Film
Impressed that directors Maritza Brikisak & Christina Tsialtas were able to make a indie film on their budget, kudos! Story is pivotal around Ms. Sophie-Maritza Brikisak , who brought together people in need. The need filled care and hope in her home that helped many lives with a short insight of their stories. Her son Bobby & her protector Blue, her support system . Unusual drop in Alice, snuck in by Amber & her unwilling accomplice Maud. Huevo & magic man although pained contribute in their way. Sophie offering not only a roof over their heads, therapy and what we all need love & care. Lovely film if too short. It teased us with storylines I would like to know more about. Even the bad guys in their unhinged car made me dislike them. Good work on all fronts . Good job by all of you , the dog & cute kid. Incredulous that a feature length film was done well on a tight budget. Kudos again!
Pamela, a Love Story (2023)
We See Her
The Pamela I have seen over and over has a great sense of humor all the while proud of her body and her sexuality. Seeing this side to her, jumping in love for the want of being in love, is allowing us to see her raw. I admire her strength and her honesty. It takes courage to be able to let it all hang out. It takes courage to take a walk back and look at journals and footage, and let the truth be recorded. Love feels like she dives in, while being in the present, takes a chance on love and the person in front of her. THAT takes courage. Pamela let's us in to watch her at her most sensitive. I admire her and thank you Pamela for showing us what we all want, we all want to be loved.
The Lurking Man (2017)
Good film
Enjoyed this film. Great to see passion in an independent production. Suspense of the driven mind where all can collapse one step at a time.
