Downhill (2020)
Why the hate?
I loved it. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is awesome and Will Ferrel can do more than comedy. Downhill is not a comedy. It's full of dark humor, but it's a great movie.
I'm intrigued by the movie it's based on and will definitely watch it.
I go to the movies to feel and enjoy, and I did both.
Little (2019)
'Story by'
How dare Tracy Oliver or whatever the heaven her name is to add her name to the credits as an original story!!! For pete's ( i'd rather drop an f bomb here) sake! how can this be called an ORIGINAL STORY!!!! One of the worst telling of this age old STORY i've ever seen in my life.
The Commuter (2018)
It's Neeson. I'll watch anything Neeson
The passing of time montage at the beginning is masterful. Truly beautiful.
Fight scenes that are one shot or at least made to look that way are always appreciated.
But the plot had SO. MANY. HOLES. It was really distracting. As well as some decisions main characters made, which were just not logical and done only to forcefully further the narrative.
BUT, it's Neeson and, if you have some stupid opinion about what he said and the whole 'scandal' well, it's your loss.
So, since it's Neeson, it's more than enjoyable.
Cold Pursuit (2019)
Solid
Solid revenge flick with some good laugh out loud moments. I'm sorry that Laura was more of a prop than anything else. She could have added so much more. Editing was a bit choppy, kind of like when you're handwriting a card and you run out of space, everything was a bit crammed towards the end. I was looking forward to this movie and i'm happy i saw it.
Crashing: The Temple Gig (2019)
Absolutely Fantastic
Good writing is when you take the cheesiest, most cliche, and overused premise and you make it feel new again. Add great acting to the mix and you have an absolutely beautiful episode. Crashing just keeps getting better. Thank you Pete
Life of the Party (2018)
Maya Rudolph is the GOAT
I watched the movie because of Jessie Ennis as I'm a great fan of her dead pan acting skills. Yes the movie is kinda predictable but it never pretended not to be. But Maya made me howl with laughter in the restaurant scene and I would watch the whole movie again and again if that was the only way to see her do that scene.
