Big Bad Wolf (2006)
Horror / Comedy
I had a great time watching this movie, the actors are OK, some are great.(most B movies have bad actors this one has a very nice cast believe me)
It is definitely an Horror/Comedy, i laughed a lot through out the movie! Some scenes/dialogues are really hilarious, simple but effective(a very positive point here)!
One thing i would like to point out, there's a transformation scene where CGI is used(full body transf.)....thats the only bad part for me, not in the beginning but at the end of it(if you see the movie you will know when). Didn't bother me much though cause it was kinda quick.. =)
And the Big Bad Wolf literally eats ladies from top to bottom (lol) got the point? xD
If your looking for an entertaining movie check this one out DO NOT EXPECT primal fear/horror...unless your under 16 or something or sensible to bloody scenes. There's gore in it, yes, not over the top gore. but some(quite good at times, well done)
You will jump once or twice too hehe(sure did got me!).
Gave an easy 6/10 !
Cheers (and sorry about my rather RAW English ;)
Grilled (2006)
Soft nice comedy
As i hate spoilers I'm gonna be as brief as possible. Its a soft comedy,it will make you laugh sometimes and bring a smile to your face. Do see it, its worth it. I've seen some comedies lately and they were not as much enjoyable as this one was. It will cleanse all stupid and goofy humor films out of you, and yet it will give you a smile to your face, its rewarding! It has a plot, its emotional and very, very funny sometimes. Loved the acting of all characters, well done!! I personally think its a good movie to see in the afternoon and just chill and give a good laugh. It has a dark humor added as to failure situations in life but with a smile in it, and it has that feeling that if you keep trying you will be rewarded :) enjoy the movie
Cheers (sorry about my 2 inches of raw meat English) ;)
Haunted Boat (2005)
Mixed feelings about this movie...
*****probably minor spoilers******
I cant say i liked it, but i cant say i didn't...its very strange. It has bad things in it like for example a shark that came out of nowhere with the worst CGI you can imagine,if i was the director i would cut that part for sure, gave me the urge to stop seeing the rest of the movie... For some people it will be boring cause it lacks action, feels home made sometimes... Take for example a scene that one of the friends died and next thing they are doing is what? nop,not crying...their telling horror stories to each other..*sighs*(just after crying for hes lost)
Another stupid thing was when they were talking inside the boat they had like "hundreds" of candles in the table in front of them...the boat is surrounded by some kind of rag curtains(old rags covering the windows) and sofas/Couches ...i thought it was dumb, using candles but not thinking about the surroundings, besides being in high sea alone...
The good, some scary scenes they are nicely done i liked some. Sometimes horror works better when its hidden when its behind something instead of showing of, so this movie does it good, maybe because its a low budget i don't know, but it works fine for me! You will feel tension if you forget some holes like the ones i mentioned above.
Do not expect much of it! but if you like anykind of movie watch this one, be patient, try to enjoy.. lol
(sorry about my raw English) =)
Cheers
Beyond the Wall of Sleep (2006)
Bad acting, rather nice movie
The thing here is that i really didn't like some of the actors at least 3 of them. The worst one was definitely Dr. Wardlow(played by Kurt Hargan) to much theater i think...nevertheless i really didn't like it..
Second was Dr. Fenton (played by Marco St. John)if you see the movie you will know why i say this...
And last but not least Edward Eischel (played by Fountain Yount), in hes particular performance ill like to mention that sometimes it was not as bad as the other 2 above but...not the type of performance i like to see. He could have done it better i think.
Overall the movie is not as bad as i thought it would be,i just adjusted myself to the actors mentioned above and let the story flow and surprise!!Not a bad story, I'm sure its because of H.P. Lovecraft's that this movie actually worked out. He was a true genius of horror/mystery/unknown stories.
Plenty of gore i assure you. And explicit images of body parts. None was take back so its rather enjoyable for people who like it. The story becomes better and better.(just hold on forget the bad acting and see it till the end)
Cheers and hail to H.P. Lovecraft's tales! Immortal
18 Fingers of Death! (2006)
Couldn't see it all at once...
I really couldn't see it all at once, toked me 3 days...the thing that kept me seeing it was that at times humor was kinda nice and made me laugh but the fart things and some childish humor just toked it all away...and left me wonder why is Pat Morita there, was sad to see him in the movie...Lorenzo Lamas made me laugh imitating "Antonio Bandanas". Most are bad actors, the images are like a pure home made video...and by GOD the gayness of some jokes are really bad! O.o I can never(i think) give 1 out of 10 to a movie cause there's always some effort and some money and time spent doing one. So i give it 3/10 for the jokes that actually made me laugh.
La marche de l'empereur (2005)
Greetings to those that made this film possible.
My big vote is about the beauty and opportunity of watching images and animal behavior that otherwise i would never know in a life time. This is for the trouble that those guys had for 9 months(if i can recall it right) in freezing death white cold, the REAL Blizzard Beast! I myself love animals and love to meet more and more about each one. Adding to that i may say that Morgan Freeman does a brilliant job by giving hes awesome storyteller voice, all through this documentary, makes it all more cozy even if all we see is white frost.
Loved it, great images. Its a must see (specially for nature lovers)
Sorry about my English
